Manage Your Weight With Reiki



In addressing issues of weight gain, it is important to take into consideration the underlying reasons of weight gain, besides just the food you may be eating. One of the underlying reasons that affects weight is the amount of stress in you life. Stess can lead to overeating as well as emotional eating. Think about when you are upset; do you tend to overeat, perhaps finishing off an entire bag of chips after a particularly stressful day at work. Or maybe you eat unhealthy "comfort" foods to excess.

Additionally, your body is in the "flight or fight" mode and this undue stress also causes your body to secrete excess cortisol. Cortisol is a hormone that has been linked to belly fat; Studies have shown that if you tend to store your fat in your belly, as opposed to your hips, you have a higher risk of developing cardiac related diseases, like heart attacks and strokes.

When you are in a relaxed state and in balance, stress melts away. You tend to make better decisions because you are not being driven by anxiety or stress. You can manage your triggers better and intuitively make better choices for your health and wellness.
